The STEM Library Space

The STEM Library Space website was first created to support the City of PAE Libraries Community Learning STEM and Makerspace Team in response to challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic. Meeting the ongoing community need for online services.

What is STEM?
Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (and Maker) skills are combined under the generic STEM acronym and can also include Arts (STEAM), as creativity is important to innovation and design.

STEM Education is a multidisciplinary approach to hands-on learning in all elements of the field. It uses enquiry learning, problem-solving, self-directed learning and teamwork, where theory and practical skills are combined with critical thinking.
